Abstract Objectives: to identify the scientific evidence on excessively resistant and multidrug resistant tuberculosis in pediatric patients. Methods: this is a scope review of the literature, with a guiding question: “What is the scientific evidence on multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis in pediatric patients?”. The research used the descriptors: “extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis” OR “multidrug-resistant tuberculosis” AND “pediatrics”. The research was carried out in a double-blind manner in the following databases of the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Regional Office for the Western Pacific’s Institutional Repository for Information Sharing, Embase/Elsevier and International Clinical Trials Registry Platform, with a temporal cut-off from 2011 to 2021, sending a final synthesized sample of 18 articles, which evaluated the methodological content through the level of evidence. Results: the results show the lack of research with a high level of evidence related to MDR-TB in children, the lack of adequate dosage of second-line drugs for the pediatric population and the importance of drug sensitivity testing for the cases of treatment Conclusions: it was identified that the obstacles to MDR-TB treatment were concentrated in the lack of detailed protocols, safe drug dosages with a low side effect, and mainly in the social health determinants and disease process involving MDR-TB.

Resumo Objetivos: identificar as evidências científicas sobre tuberculose excessivamente resistente e multidroga resistente em pacientes pediátricos. Métodos: trata-se de uma revisão de escopo da literatura, tendo como questão norteadora: “Quais as evidências científicas sobre tuberculose multidroga-resistente (TB-MDR) e tuberculose extensivamente resistente em pacientes pediátricos?” A pesquisa usou os descritores: “tuberculose extensivamente resistente a medicamentos” OR “tuberculose resistente a múltiplos medicamentos” AND “pediatria”. A pesquisa foi realizada de modo duplo-cego nas bases de dados Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Regional Office for the Western Pacific’s Institutional Repository for Information Sharing, Embase/Elsevier e International Clinical Trials Registry Platform, com um corte temporal de 2011 a 2021, sendo a amostra final sintetizada de 18 artigos, nos quais avaliou-se o conteúdo metodológico por meio do nível de evidência. Resultados: os resultados mostraram a escassez de pesquisas de alto nível de evidência relacionadas à TB-MDR em crianças, ausência de posologia adequada das drogas de segunda linha para o público pediátrico e a importância do teste de sensibilidade a drogas para o tratamento dos casos. Conclusões: identificou-se que os obstáculos do tratamento TB-MDR se concentraram na ausência de protocolos detalhados, de dosagens medicamentosas seguras e com menor efeito colateral, e, principalmente, nos determinantes sociais do processo saúde e doença que envolvem a TB-MDR.

ABSTRACT Wild birds have great prominence in the transmission of diseases to humans, mainly due to their ease of access to human populations, raising concerns about the potential impact of that proximity on public health. The present study reports ARV and PBV occurrence in wild birds from an environmental protection area in the Amazon biome, in Pará state, Brazil. We obtained 155 fecal specimens from 47 species of wild birds for RNA extraction, ARV and PBV detection utilizing molecular methods, nucleotide sequencing, and phylogenetic analysis. ARV prevalence was 0.6% (1/155), being positive in an individual of Myrmotherula longipennis, and PBV prevalence was 1.29% (2/155), affecting two individuals of Guira guira. The PBV strains were assigned to genogroup I based on phylogenetic analysis, and they shared a strong phylogenetic link with strains isolated from different geographic locations. The ARV strain was more closely related to strains that had previously circulated in the same region. The presence of ARV and PBV in this habitat suggests that infection cycles of these agents occur naturally in the wild ecosystem, potentially triggering transmission events between bird species and humans. This is the first study on ARV detection in wild birds in Brazil and the first report on the occurrence of PBV in wild Guira guira. Additional studies are required to determine the epidemiology, origin, evolution, and emergence of new potentially pathogenic viruses in the Amazon.

RESUMO As aves silvestres têm grande destaque na transmissão de doenças ao homem, principalmente pela facilidade de acesso à população humana, levantando preocupações sobre o potencial impacto dessa proximidade no contexto da saúde pública. O presente estudo relata a ocorrência de ARV e PBV em aves silvestres de uma área de proteção ambiental no bioma Amazônico. Obtivemos 155 espécimes fecais de 47 espécies de aves silvestres, que foram submetidos a extração de RNA, detecção de ARV e PBV por técnicas moleculares, sequenciamento nucleotídico e análise filogenética. A prevalência de infecção por ARV foi 0,6% (1/155), sendo positivo em um indivíduo de Myrmotherula longipennis, e a prevalência de PBV foi 1,29% (2/155), afetando dois insdivíduos de Guira guira. A análise filogenética agrupou as cepas de PBV no genogrupo I, mostrando intensa relação filogenética com cepas isoladas de outras regiões geográficas. A cepa de ARV esteve mais relacionada filogeneticamente a cepas previamente circulantes na mesma região. Este é o primeiro estudo sobre detecção de ARV em aves silvestres no Brasil e o primeiro relato sobre a ocorrência de PBV em Guira guira. A circulação de ARV e PBV nesse ambiente demonstra que os ciclos desses agentes estão ocorrendo de forma natural no ecossistema silvestre, o que pode desencadear possíveis eventos de transmissão entre as espécies aviárias e humanos. Estudos adicionais são necessários para determinar a epidemiologia, origem, evolução e surgimento de novos vírus potencialmente patogênicos na Amazônia.

Abstract Objective: to analyze the prevalence of tuberculosis, coronavirus, chronic conditions and vulnerabilities among migrants and refugees in Brazil. Method: this is a cross-sectional study of the electronic survey type conducted with international migrants during the COVID-19 pandemic. Descriptive statistics was applied for the analysis, with calculation of position and dispersion measures. Regarding the categorical variables, relative and absolute frequencies were estimated. Results: the study participants were 553 migrants and refugees, verifying 3.07%, 7.2% and 27.3% prevalence of tuberculosis, COVID-19 and chronic conditions, respectively. Among the vulnerabilities, 32% reported unemployment, 37.6% moved to Brazil as a result of the social situation in their countries and 33.6% were living as refugees or sheltered people. Conclusion: tuberculosis, chronic diseases and COVID-19 presented higher prevalence values in migrants and refugees than in the general population. As this is a population group that still has significant difficulty accessing health services and social protection systems, based on diverse evidence, the study will subsidize public policies, Nursing care and the incorporation of new routines in the service.

Resumen Objetivo: analizar la prevalencia de tuberculosis, coronavirus, condiciones crónicas y vulnerabilidades en inmigrantes y refugiados en Brasil. Método: se trata de un estudio transversal, del tipo encuesta electrónica, realizado con migrantes internacionales durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Para el análisis se aplicó estadística descriptiva, con cálculo de medidas de posición y dispersión. En cuanto a las variables categóricas, se estimaron las frecuencias relativas y absolutas. Resultados: participaron del estudio 553 inmigrantes y refugiados, la prevalencia de tuberculosis era del 3,07%, de COVID-19 del 7,2% y de condiciones crónicas del 27,3%. Entre las vulnerabilidades, el 32% reportó desempleo, el 37,6% emigró a Brasil por la situación social de su país y el 33,6% vivía en un asilo o albergue. Conclusión: la tuberculosis, las enfermedades crónicas y el COVID-19 fueron más prevalentes en inmigrantes y refugiados que en la población general. Por tratarse de una población que aún tiene grandes dificultades para acceder a los servicios de salud y sistemas de protección social, el estudio contribuirá, con base en la evidencia, a las políticas públicas, la atención de enfermería y la incorporación de nuevas rutinas en el servicio.

ABSTRACT Patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) might present acute and late toxicities and the oral tissues are frequently affected. With the survival increasing, patients show late and long-term morbidities, and there is an important association between the general and the oral health. The first and second parts of this Consensus have showed the importance of the adequacy of oral health in the pre-HSCT, and the main alterations and oral care during the period of admission for HSCT. This third part aims to review specific themes of post-HSCT dental care, such as graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and the pediatric patient. It also aims to review pertinent subjects, both during the HSCT period and post-HSCT, concerning quality of life, pain, cost-effectiveness, and remote care. Based on this review, it is evident the importance of the work of the dental surgeon (DS) in the follow-up and treatment of the HSCT patient, always collaborating with the whole multidisciplinary team.

ABSTRACT The oral involvement in the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation is well described in the literature. The goal of the dental treatment and management of the oral lesions related to the HSCT is to reduce the harm caused by preexisting oral infection or even the worsening of oral acute/chronic GVHD and late effects. The aim of this guideline was to discuss the dental management of patients subjected to HSCT, considering three phases of the HSCT: pre-HSCT, acute phase, and late phase. The literature published from 2010 to 2020 was reviewed in order to identify dental interventions in this patient population. The selected papers were divided into three groups: pre-HSCT, acute and late, and were reviewed by the SBTMO Dental Committee's members. When necessary, an expertise opinion was considered for better translating the guideline recommendations to our population dental characteristics. This manuscript focused on the pre-HSCT dental management. The objective of the pre-HSCT dental management is to identify possible dental situations that On behalf of the Dental Committee of the Brazilian Society of Gene Therapy and Bone Marrow Transplantation (SBTMO) can worsening during the acute phase after the HSCT. Each guideline recommendations were made considering the Dentistry Specialties. The clinical consensus on dental management prior to HSCT provides professional health caregivers with clinical setting-specific information to help with the management of dental problems in patients to be subjected to HSCT.

ABSTRACT Objective: To update the recommendations to support decisions regarding the pharmacological treatment of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Brazil. Methods: Experts, including representatives of the Ministry of Health and methodologists, created this guideline. The method used for the rapid development of guidelines was based on the adoption and/or adaptation of existing international guidelines (GRADE ADOLOPMENT) and supported by the e-COVID-19 RecMap platform. The quality of the evidence and the preparation of the recommendations followed the GRADE method. Results: Twenty-one recommendations were generated, including strong recommendations for the use of corticosteroids in patients using supplemental oxygen and conditional recommendations for the use of tocilizumab and baricitinib for patients on supplemental oxygen or on noninvasive ventilation and anticoagulants to prevent thromboembolism. Due to suspension of use authorization, it was not possible to make recommendations regarding the use of casirivimab + imdevimab. Strong recommendations against the use of azithromycin in patients without suspected bacterial infection, hydroxychloroquine, convalescent plasma, colchicine, and lopinavir + ritonavir and conditional recommendations against the use of ivermectin and remdesivir were made. Conclusion: New recommendations for the treatment of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 were generated, such as those for tocilizumab and baricitinib. Corticosteroids and prophylaxis for thromboembolism are still recommended, the latter with conditional recommendation. Several drugs were considered ineffective and should not be used to provide the best treatment according to the principles of evidence-based medicine and to promote resource economy.

RESUMO Objetivo: Atualizar as recomendações para embasar as decisões para o tratamento farmacológico de pacientes hospitalizados com COVID-19 no Brasil. Métodos: A elaboração desta diretriz foi feita por especialistas, incluindo representantes do Ministério da Saúde e metodologistas. O método utilizado para o desenvolvimento rápido de diretrizes baseou-se na adoção e/ou adaptação de diretrizes internacionais existentes (GRADE ADOLOPMENT) e contou com o apoio da plataforma e-COVID-19 RecMap. A qualidade das evidências e a elaboração das recomendações seguiram o método GRADE. Resultados: Chegaram-se a 21 recomendações, incluindo recomendações fortes quanto ao uso de corticosteroides em pacientes em uso de oxigênio suplementar e recomendações condicionais para o uso de tocilizumabe e baricitinibe, em pacientes com oxigênio suplementar ou ventilação não invasiva, e de anticoagulantes, para prevenção de tromboembolismo. Devido à suspensão da autorização de uso, não foi possível fazer recomendações para o tratamento com casirivimabe + imdevimabe. Foram feitas recomendações fortes contra o uso de azitromicina em pacientes sem suspeita de infecção bacteriana, hidroxicloroquina, plasma convalescente, colchicina e lopinavir + ritonavir, além de recomendações condicionais contra o uso de ivermectina e rendesivir. Conclusão: Foram criadas novas recomendações para o tratamento de pacientes hospitalizados com COVID-19, como as recomendações de tocilizumabe e baricitinibe. Ainda são recomendados corticosteroides e profilaxia contra tromboembolismo, esta em caráter condicional. Vários medicamentos foram considerados ineficazes e não devem ser usados, no intuito de proporcionar o melhor tratamento segundo os princípios da medicina baseada em evidências e promover a economia de recursos.

ABSTRACT. Two experiments were carried out to evaluate the effects of protease addition to the diet of broilers at a higher level (1× or 2×) than the nutritional value proposed for the enzyme. The first experiment, 1280 day-old chicks (Cobb500®) were randomly allocated (randomized block design, 2×2+1 factorial arrangement), five treatments, eight replicates containing 32 birds/replicate. Treatments consisted: control diet without protease (CD); CD + 1× nutritional value of the enzyme (CDM1); CD + 2× nutritional value of the enzyme (CDM2); CDM1 + protease; and CDM2 + protease. The experimental period was 42 days. The mean weight (AFW), feed intake (FI), weight gain (WG), feed conversion, and carcass yield were evaluated. Significant differences were observed for AFW, WG, FI, abdominal fat yield, and feet percentage in the carcass. In the second experiment, 120 Cobb500® chicks at 14 days of age were allotted in a completely randomized design, 2×2+1 factorial arrangement, five treatments, six replicates with four birds/replicate. The treatments were consistent with the first experiment. Significant improvements in the nitrogen balance were observed for the broilers that received protease. The use of the enzyme tested is recommended with the recommended nutritional matrix, improving the zootechnical indices of broilers.

ABSTRACT Objective: to elaborate and validate the content of a digital guide educational technology on Systematization of Nursing Care and Nursing Process. Methods: applied research of technological development, developed between 2020 and 2021, in three steps. First, a scoping review was carried out to elaborate the content. In the second step, the content was validated with 46 nurse judges selected for convenience. The minimum criterion of agreement among judges was 80%. The third step consisted of content organization and layout. Results: the guide content was elaborated from the Federal Nursing Council legislation, scientific articles and textbooks. Content was considered appropriate, relevant and organized by judges. Final considerations: the digital guide is an alternative that can contribute to the NP execution and implementation, supporting the planning and implementation of actions for quality of care.

RESUMEN Objetivo: desarrollar y validar el contenido de una tecnología educativa como guía digital sobre Sistematización de la Atención de Enfermería y del Proceso de Enfermería. Métodos: investigación aplicada de desarrollo tecnológico, desarrollada entre 2020 y 2021, en tres etapas. En primer lugar, se realizó una revisión de alcance para elaborar el contenido. En la segunda etapa, se validó el contenido con 46 jueces de enfermería seleccionados por conveniencia. El criterio mínimo de acuerdo entre los jueces fue del 80%. La tercera etapa consistió en la organización y maquetación del contenido. Resultados: el contenido de la guía fue elaborado a partir de la legislación del Consejo Federal de Enfermería, artículos científicos y libros de texto. El contenido fue considerado adecuado, pertinente y organizado por los jueces. Consideraciones finales: la guía digital es una alternativa que puede contribuir a la ejecución e implementación del PE, apoyando la planificación e implementación de acciones para la calidad de la atención.

RESUMO Objetivo: elaborar e validar o conteúdo de uma tecnologia educacional do tipo guia digital sobre Sistematização da Assistência de Enfermagem e Processo de Enfermagem. Métodos: pesquisa aplicada de desenvolvimento tecnológico, desenvolvida entre 2020 e 2021, em três etapas. Primeiramente, foi realizada uma revisão de escopo, para elaboração do conteúdo. Na segunda etapa, foi validado o conteúdo com 46 juízes enfermeiros selecionados por conveniência. O critério mínimo de concordância entre os juízes foi de 80%. A terceira etapa consistiu na organização e diagramação do conteúdo. Resultados: o conteúdo do guia foi elaborado a partir das legislações do Conselho Federal de Enfermagem, artigos científicos e livros textos. O conteúdo foi considerado adequado, pertinente e organizado pelos juízes. Considerações finais: o guia digital é uma alternativa que pode contribuir para a execução e implementação do PE, embasando o planejamento e a implementação de ações para a qualidade da assistência.

Abstract Austrodiplostomum Szidat & Nani, 1951 is a genus of parasitic digenetic trematodes widely distributed in the Neotropical region. Infects a wide variety of species, families and requests for freshwater fish. We identify samples of Austrodiplostomum sp, based on metacercariae isolates from eyes of tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum), a fish of high commercial importance in Brazil, and widely consumed by the population of the northern region. The sequences obtained clustered with A. compactum. This is the first report of the occurrence of diplostomids in farmed tambaqui in Amazonia.

ABSTRACT Objective: to produce and validate a booklet, based on Jean Watson’s Theory, on home care for premature newborns, based on caregivers’ experiences. Method: a methodological study, developed in the following stages: diagnosis of knowledge needs about home care; survey of scientific content; educational material production; and validity by judges/experts. Results: the literature review resulted in 19 articles. The main themes (breastfeeding, bath care, bond building, infection prevention and support network) were listed for producing the booklet “Booklet for Premature Newborns: Demystifying Home Care”. The booklet content and appearance received the overall Content Validity Index of 0.85, considered suitable within the scientific rigor of validity. Final considerations: the booklet produced and validated is an educational material whose main role is to provide knowledge and awaken caregivers’ autonomy in providing home care to newborns.

RESUMEN Objetivo: producir y validar una cartilla, basada en la Teoría de Jean Watson, sobre el cuidado domiciliario del recién nacido prematuro, a partir de las experiencias de los cuidadores. Método: estudio metodológico, desarrollado en las siguientes etapas: diagnóstico de las necesidades de conocimiento sobre el cuidado domiciliario; encuesta de contenido científico; producción de material educativo; y validación por jueces/expertos. Resultados: la revisión de la literatura resultó en 19 artículos. Se enumeraron los temas principales (lactancia materna, cuidado del baño, creación de vínculos, prevención de infecciones y red de apoyo) para la producción del folleto “Cuaderno para Recién Nacidos Prematuros: Desmitificando el Cuidado Domiciliario”. El contenido y apariencia del cuadernillo recibió el Índice de Validez de Contenido Global de 0,85, considerado adecuado dentro del rigor científico de la validez. Consideraciones finales: la cartilla producida y validada es un material educativo que tiene como función principal proporcionar conocimientos y despertar la autonomía de los cuidadores en la atención domiciliaria al recién nacido.

Método: estudo metodológico, desenvolvido nas etapas: diagnóstico das necessidades de conhecimento sobre os cuidados domiciliares; levantamento dos conteúdos científicos; produção de material educativo; e validação por juízas/experts. Resultados: a revisão da literatura resultou em 19 artigos. Elencaram-se os principais temas (amamentação, cuidados com o banho, construção de vínculo, prevenção de infecções e rede de apoio), para produção da cartilha intitulada “Cartilha de Cuidados com o Recém-Nascido Prematuro: Desmistificando o Cuidar no Domicílio”. O conteúdo e aparência da cartilha recebeu o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo Global de 0,85, considerado adequado dentro do rigor científico de validade. Considerações finais: a cartilha produzida e validada é um material educativo cujo papel principal é proporcionar conhecimento e despertar a autonomia dos cuidadores na prestação dos cuidados domiciliares ao recém-nascido.

ABSTRACT Paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM) is a systemic fungal infection caused by Paracoccidioides species. Chylothorax is a rare complication of PCM. A 16-year-old adolescent presented daily fever, lymphadenomegaly, sweating, weight loss, ventilatory-dependent pain, and dysphagia, which confirmed PCM. During treatment, the patient developed chylothorax and chylous ascites. Chronic inflammatory and fibrotic lymphadenopathy may obstruct lymphatic vessels, resulting in the extravasation of lymph into the abdomen or pleural cavities. Chylothorax is one of several complications of PCM and can lead to respiratory insufficiency, even in patients undergoing antifungal therapy.

Abstract Background Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) without obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) is a medical condition of great relevance, with clinical characteristics of AMI, but without evidence of coronary artery obstruction. The mechanism involved in the pathophysiology of the disease and its possible etiologies are important objects of study due to their impact on the morbidity and mortality of affected patients. Objectives The aim of this study was to systematically review MINOCA and its characteristics, with emphasis on the clinical profile of patients, etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of the syndrome. Methods Relevant articles related to MINOCA were analyzed in the PubMed and LILACS databases. In the initial search stage, 619 eligible articles were obtained, with final inclusion criteria being: original systematic reviews with clinical, epidemiological, diagnostic, or treatment data on MINOCA, published in Portuguese or English, with an abstract, and a publication date limit of September 2020. Results A total of 10 articles classified as systematic reviews that considered clinical data on MINOCA were included in this review. Conclusion After analyzing various literature, the present study provided a tool to better understand MINOCA, not only regarding its casuistry but also in grouping parameters and information that contribute to a healthy approach to this clinical situation. It was possible to identify and better outline the clinical profile of patients who presented this condition and the use of appropriate tools for correct diagnosis and ideal treatment.

ABSTRACT Background: The wood heat treatment results in the partial degradation of its chemical constituents, mainly cellulose and hemicellulose, reducing the hygroscopicity of the material. This process improves the dimensional stability and resistance to biodeterioration and worsens the mechanical resistance. This work aimed to evaluate the effect of heat treatment on the physical, anatomical, chemical, and mechanical properties of Fraxinus excelsior wood. In untreated and heat-treated wood, the pH, buffering capacity, basic density, equilibrium moisture content, shrinkage, wood anatomy, thermogravimetric behavior, and chemistry by conventional and FTIR methods were determined. Results: Heat treated wood had lower pH (5.50), equilibrium moisture content (6.26%), shrinkage (7,29%), holocellulose contents (55,96%) and higher buffering capacity (0,479 mmol/L), extractives (8,25%), and lignin contents (35,78%). Heat treatment reduced the pH and increased the buffering capacity of the wood, reduced the holocellulose content, and increased the lignin content, leaving the wood less hygroscopic and reducing its volumetric and linear variation. The process did not change the basic density and fiber length, but it reduced their width, lumen diameter, and wall thickness. The FTIR analysis confirmed the degradation of holocellulose and division of aliphatic side chains in lignin. The maximum dredging range of untreated and heat-treated wood occurred at 350 ºC, and the heat-treated wood had a higher residual mass when subjected to 500 ºC. Conclusion: Heat-treated wood can be indicated for products used in external environments, such as floors, fences, coatings, door and window structures.

ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the adherence of medical prescriptions to patient safety recommendations using the Medication Prescription Safety Checklist. Method: This is an observational, cross-sectional study carried out between May and June 2022, with 341 medical prescriptions for medicines in a hospital emergency room in the interior of Bahia - Brazil, whose data were analyzed through descriptive analysis. Results: 80% to 89% of the prescriptions adhered to the safety recommendations; the item with the highest adherence was identification of the date of the prescription, and the lowest adherence was having drugs with similar names identified in upper case or bold. Around 18.63% (n=514) of the drugs prescribed are on the list of potentially dangerous drugs for hospital use. Conclusion: The evaluation of medical prescriptions for medicines highlighted existing barriers in clinical practice, which makes it possible to develop more effective mechanisms to promote patient safety.

RESUMEN Objetivo: Evaluar la adhesión de las prescripciones médicas a las recomendaciones de seguridad del paciente utilizando la checklist - Lista de verificación de la Seguridad de la Prescripción de Medicamentos. Método: Se trata de un estudio observacional, transversal, realizado entre mayo y junio de 2022, con 341 prescripciones médicas de medicamentos, en la sala de urgencias de un hospital del interior de Bahia - Brasil, cuyos datos fueron analizados mediante análisis descriptivo. Resultados: Entre el 80% y el 89% de las prescripciones cumplieron las recomendaciones de seguridad; el punto con mayor cumplimiento fue la identificación de la fecha de la prescripción, y el de menor cumplimiento, que los medicamentos con nombres similares se identificaran en mayúsculas o en negrita. Alrededor del 18,63% (n=514) de los medicamentos prescriptos figuran en la lista de medicamentos potencialmente peligrosos de uso hospitalario. Conclusiones: La evaluación de las prescripciones médicas de medicamentos puso de manifiesto los obstáculos existentes en la práctica clínica, lo que permite desarrollar mecanismos más eficaces para promover la seguridad de los pacientes.

Método: trata-se de um estudo observacional, transversal, realizado entre maio a junho de 2022, com 341 prescrições médicas de medicamentos, numa emergência hospitalar no interior da Bahia - Brasil, cujos dados foram analisados através de análise descritiva. Resultados: 80% a 89% das prescrições tiveram adesão às recomendações de segurança; o item de maior adesão foi identificação da data da prescrição, menor adesão foi possuir medicamentos com nomes semelhantes identificados com caixa alta ou negrito. Cerca de 18,63% (n=514) dos medicamentos prescritos fazem parte da lista de medicamentos potencialmente perigosos de uso hospitalar. Conclusão: a avaliação das prescrições médicas de medicamentos evidenciou barreiras existentes na prática clínica, o que possibilita a elaboração de mecanismos mais efetivos para promoção da segurança do paciente.

In this work, mixtures of ceramic powders containing Al2O3 with different amounts of Y2O3 (1%, 3%, 5% and 10wt.%) along their cross-section were fabricated to obtain multilayer composites based on Al2O3 with different levels of Y3Al5O12 (YAG) as reinforcement. Monolithic cylindrical multilayer Al2O3 blocks were compacted and subsequentially, sintered at 1610°C for 4h. Phase stability, microstructural aspects, and physical and mechanical properties of the specimens were acquired by relative density, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Vickers hardness, fracture toughness, Young’s modulus and biaxial flexural strength measurements. The results indicated that monolithic alumina specimens exhibited relative density of 98%, with average hardness of 1203 ±83 HV, fracture toughness of 2.1 ±0.8 MPa.m1/2 and flexural strength of 187 ±64 MPa. Progressive incorporation of Y2O3 into the chemical composition of the specimens led to formation of the YAG phase by solid state reaction during sintering, which reduced hardness and increased densification, fracture toughness and flexural strength, with average values of HV=1023 ±28 HV, KIC=3.5 ±0.3 MPa.m1/2, σf=273 ±58 MPa and 14% Y3Al5O12 for the specimens with 10wt.% Y2O3. This improvement is probably associated with toughness mechanisms, such as crack deflection and residual thermal stresses between the phases present in the composites.
